Rules
Teams: Men's and Women's divisions are played three on three.
Format: Round Robin format- single elimination playoffs
All teams make the playoffs
Scoring: Rally scoring
Pool play- 2 games to 21 (win by 2) cap of 23
Playoffs- Time a factor
Either one game to 25 (no caps) or
2 of 3- 2 games to 21 (no cap) deciding game to 15 (no cap)
Play:
Tips- no open handed tips
Double contact- on 1st contact only- no holding ball
Officials- everyone officiates- assignments issued at later day (??)
Let serve- let serves are allowed
Blocking- a block is not counted as a team contact
Foot Digs- allowed
Pancakes- Allowed (and delicious!)
Time outs- two 30 second time outs per game
Footwear- no cleats or spikes- players may be barefoot
Pets- no pets allowed
Weather- rain or shine- we play
Tournament staff- we have final say and may modify rules and tournament format as necessary
